Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney beat social conservative Rick Santorum just by 8 votes to become the apparent winner. Mitt Romney was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007 and he also ran for the Republican nomination in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, winning several primaries and caucuses, but eventually losing the nomination to John McCain. In June, 2011 Mitt Romney formally announced he would run for 2012 presidential nomination and started off campaign trails. About personal life, Mitt Romney married Ann Romney in 1969 and they have 5 sons. Mitt’s family has supported him during 2012 presidential race.
