Charlene Lynette is a South African Olympic backstroke swimmer. She was born in Rhodesia but moved to live in Monaco five years ago. The formal swimmer captured Prince Alberto de Monaco’s heart when she flew to Monaco to participate in a swimming competition in 2000.
The couple were seen together first in February 2006 at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics. They attended the "BAL De La Rose" and the Princess Grace Awards Gala in 2009. On the latest event, they appeared as a couple at the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Daniel Westling in Stockholm on 19 June 2010. There are some judgments that with her effortless beauty and glamorous appearance, it was inevitable to compare between Charlene and Albert\'s late mother. The 52-year-old royal, previously regarded as the most wanted princess on earth, engaged to marry his long-term girlfriend Charlene Lynette on June 23.
