Christmas dinner is considered the most important meal traditionally eaten on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Due to the differences in cultures and cuisines, each country celebrates Christmas dinner according to its own foods and traditions.

Christmas dinner in Australia is somehow like the traditional English version. However, Christmas comes in the heat of the Southern Hemisphere's summer; hence, meat, chicken and turkey are served cold with cranberry sauce, side salads or roast vegetables followed by Christmas pudding and mince pies on Christmas Day. It is common to have a picnic or a barbecue outside the house on this occasion as a popular way of avoiding the heat of the oven.

Although Christmas is not a national holiday in Japan, many young people celebrate the event by eating Kentucky Fried Chicken

Germany is well-known for sweet Chrismas treats such as gingerbread, spiced biscuits, marzipan and stolen. The main meal is often served with a rich meat like roast goose or suckling pig with red cabbage
Italy
On Christmas Eve, people in Italy usually have a mix of meats and pasta, followed by sweet dishes such as panettone with a banquet of fish dishes
Mexico
The Mexicans often have traditional stews, fish (especially cod), and a range of fruits and salads on Christmas Eve
