Soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted attending the Spanish National Sports Awards in the Royal Palace of El Pardo on Thursday night (December 6, 2012). The former Manchester United favourite was honored as the best Ibero-American sportsman of 2011 by Spain’s Royal family at the event. Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to have a great night as he accepted the trophy from Her Majesty the Queen of Spain. “It was an honour for me to receive such a beautiful trophy from Her Majesty the Queen of Spain,” he said. “Once again, as with all the awards I've received, I want to individually thank all those who chose me for this award, but especially my teammates and coaches because without them this wouldn't have been possible.” Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo also added: “I want to dedicate this award especially to Real Madrid fans.” The soccer star, who is desperate to leave Real Madrid in June 2013, got super swanky in his black suit with his signature smile at the Spanish National Sports Awards.

Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo proudly posed with the massive piece of silverware, looking very happy after being faced with a dilemma at the ceremony. The soccer star was told to dispose the gum when he showed up at the formal event. However, it seemed that Ronaldo was a little confused about what to do with the gum. So, he took it out of his mouth and his solution was to sacrifice his suit by slyly putting it in his pocket.
