Natural selection is a part of science that describes about the evolution of any living species including human being on the basis of a number of scientific evidence. Apes (gorilla, chimpanzee and orangutan) are the ancestor of human being as a lot of similarities can be seen in their chromosomes. Anyone can judge the similarities between man and apes. Whatever difference is present is only because of one pair of chromosome difference, humans having 23 and apes with 24 pairs of chromosomes. Chromosomes are nothing but a combination of DNA. So DNA is also known as genetic carrier, as it passes through the sperm and egg to the offspring.

A DNA pattern can say about so many characteristics of a human being including the physical characteristics like color of the skin, eyes, hair, etc. DNA is present in every cell of a body like blood cells, brain cells, muscle cells, sperm cells, and others such as sweat, urine, skin etc. DNA is composed of a number of building blocks named under A, T, G and C and these blocks different arrangements differentiate one DNA pattern from the another one.

Occurrence of any disease may have a number of reasons like environmental effects, lack of proper diet, running under continuous stress or due to any genetic disorder. With today’s more advanced DNA technology, the disorders related to the genetic pattern can be detected. Genetic disorder can result to so many critical diseases like (a) Hypothyroidism, which can affect growth and cognitive development with mental retardation, stunted growth, delayed puberty and ataxia. (b) Colon cancer (c) Breast cancer, which is considered as the most common cancer in woman. If a genetic history of breast cancer is present with the first-degree relative like mother, sister or daughter than it has 15 % more chances of occurrence. According to certain statistics there is a case in every 8 woman in US. Which unfortunately challenge even their female identity, so its impact will be on both physical and mental health? (d) Alzheimer’s disease (e) sickle cell disease, which affects the red blood cells and that results improper transportation of oxygen from lungs to other parts of the body. So a series of crises starts and likely to reduce the life span by about 30 years. (f) Galactosemia, a rare disorder that can affect the ability of break down a food sugar called galactose. Apart from detection of inherited diseases it also helps in diagnosis.

DNA technology is a part of science that can solve certain crime puzzles and save the innocent. DNA certification is a kind of proof which cannot be questioned.
