John Legend and Model Chrissy Teigen Got Engaged in the Maldives

R&B star John Legend got engaged to marry supermodel Chrissy Teigen over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives last week. After he popped the big question, John Legend, 33, and his girlfriend Chrissy Teigen, 26 who have been dating since 2007 headed to Thailand to visit her parents. His representative Cindi Berger said in a statement: "John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives." Besides, no further information about the proposal or the couple's wedding plans has been made public.

"Ordinary People" soul singer John Legend, a nine-time Grammy Award winner, will make his first public appearance since the announcement as ringing in 2012 with a performance at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort on New Year's Eve. John Legend is currently working on a new solo album to be released on Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label sometime in 2012 while his wife-to-be Chrissy Teigen has starred on the game show “Deal or No Deal”. Furthermore, the 26-year-old supermodel has appeared in the “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue” and “Maxim,” as well as ad campaigns for Billabong, Fredericks of Hollywood and Victoria's Secret.
