Before heading inside the Nokia Theatre to attend the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, teen pop sensation Justin Bieber was interviewed by his girlfriend Selena Gomez on the pre-show’s black carpet.
The “Baby” singer wore a black blazer, black T-shirt, red pants, and cheetah shoes, while “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress looked elegant and feminine in a black gown by Julien Macdonald, teamed with Brian Atwood heels, a Judith Leiber clutch, and Ofira jewelry.
When Gomez asked Bieber whether he was nervous about being nominated for Best Male Video against Bruno Mars and Eminem, Bieber replied: “You know, I’m just excited to be in the category with such amazing people. I’m just happy to be here.”
At the end of their interview, the crowd roared with approval as Justin Bieber gave Selena Gomez a big and sweet kiss on her cheek.

Justin Bieber defeated four big rivals, including Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Eminem and Cee Lo Green, to proudly win Best Male Video for “U Smile” at the 2011 MTV VMAs.
After hearing his name read by TV star Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber kissed Selena Gomez and hit the stage to receive the trophy.
“I just wanna say thank you so much, not only to God but to Jesus. Because I wouldn’t be here without him. He’s really blessed me and put me in this position…Also, I want to say thank you to all the other nominees. I’m a true fan of all of them.” Bieber said in his acceptance speech.
At the 2010 MTV VMAs, he received the first Moonman for Best New Artist and performed three hits, “U Smile”, “Baby” and “Somebody to Love”.
