Though Lady Gaga has long been the Queen of YouTube, attracting more than a billion viewers on the site, the star’s official YouTube account was suspended on July 14 “due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s Copyright Policy”. This incident may make her very shocking.
According to Time Out Tokyo, the footage posted from Gaga’s performance at the Japanese show “SMAP x SMAP” on the Fuji TV network led to a takedown request from Media Interactive Inc. on Tuesday, July 12.
The widely-circulated video features Gaga singing a medley of songs in her new album “Born This Way”, served by SMAP, a Japanese boy band, as back up singers and dancers on stage along with her. However, she failed to secure the digital rights required to display this performance on her YouTube channel.

"My performance+cooking show appearance on SMAP SMAP is airing now in Japan. Kawaii Monsters!" Gaga tweeted her excitement about the SMAP performance on Monday
In the clip, Gaga appeared from an ornate box in a black dust mask to perform “The Edge of Glory” before sitting down at a piano for a solo of “You and I” that morphs into the album’s title track. Her performance was assisted by the members of SMAP, who stood and posed behind Gaga, joined her dancers in some high-energy choreography and sang light backup duties on the hit track.
