In late June 2011, she released her first single “Video Games” and her her first studio album “Born to Die” was released six months later. The much talked-about singer/songwriter made herself her expected arrival at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with "Born To Die" which sold 77,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, Lana Del Rey has announced the postponement of her tour due to harsh criticism for her appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Discussing her love life in an interview with Complex Magazine, the singer revealed: “When I found somebody who I fell in love with, it made me feel different than I felt the rest of the day. It was electrifying. That's one of the times when you're feeling electrified by someone else and they make you happy to be alive”
Firing back claims about plastic surgery, she told Complex, “I haven’t had anything done at all. Anyone who’s known me will tell you that. I’m sorry, but I was living in a trailer park for a few years. I didn’t even have enough money to buy Cocoa Puffs” and “That’s just how I look when I sing.”
The 25-year-old New York City native is scheduled to perform at a Grammy event honoring Interscope head Jimmy Iovine on February 2012.
