Man Behind Bin Laden Raid Identified

After Navy SEALs killed Osama bin Laden, the photo of President Barack Obama and his Cabinet inside the Situation Room watching the raid unfold became famous worldwide. In the hunting of the world most wanted man, there may be no one more important than John – the man who hunted Osama bin Laden according to the New York Observer. The mystery started rising when the Associated Press noted that the mastermind behind Osama bin Laden’s raid was “hidden from view, standing just outside the frame of that now-famous photograph.”

Then, John Young of the Observer revealed that this was a man with yellow tie in that photo. Studying other photos released by the White House, the secret John has been unveiled. He is the longtime CIA analyst who led the discovery of bin Laden in his hideout, was a former Division I walk-on basketball player and received a rotation full of scholarship players. After the Associated Press profiled this man last week, former deputy director of central intelligence John McLaughlin said, “I implore you, do not publish this man's name” because “There are real people out there that are going to be killed because of this.” The CIA has kept him undercover and offered to move him somewhere else.
