Many female fans of the "White Collar" hunk Matt Bomer have been devastated after the actor, who has been the subject of tabloid and rumors for some time, told the world that he is gay. Matt bravely made the announcement while receiving the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards in Palm Springs on Saturday, February, 11, 2012.

On the stage of the event, Matt Bomer thanked his partner Simon Halls and his three children. “I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”

White Collar star Matt Bomer quietly came out of the closet this week. He publicly thanked his partner Simon Halls and their three adorable sons

Matt Bomer, 34, has previously struggled rumors about his sexuality. During an interview about his love life and rumors surrounding him in 2010, the actor said that “I don't care about that at all. I'm completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life.”

Although Matt Bomer keep his family life in secret, it has been reported that 3-year-old twins Walker and Henry are believed to be the sons of Simon Halls while 5-year-old Kit is said to be from a previous relationship of Matt Bomer. The 34-year-old actor only revealed he had children last March while co-hosting the Today Show.
