Michele Bachmann, the candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2012 U.S. presidential election, married Marcus Bachmann, a clinical therapist with a master's degree from Regent University and a PhD from Union Graduate School in 1978. The couple is the parents of five children, including Lucas, Harrison, Elisa, Caroline, and Sophia.

Michele shared that God gave the couple five biological children, and then he called them to take foster into their home. The couple is spotted to raise 23 kids, including many girls who are struggling with eating disorders.

The 28-year-old Lucas Bachmann, Michele Bachmann’s son, believes that his mom could be the U.S. President in 2012. Lucas said that “"I wouldn't be surprised.” “I think I've been surprised enough already.”
