The list of the most unequal countries or countries with income inequality, has been released based on the CIA-recognized Gini index. The Gini index is made on the range of umulative family incomes, where 0 stands for perfect equality and 100 stands for perfect inequality. 2011 list includes third world nations, emerging markets and one global superpower.

Namibia, the country in southern Africa whose western border is the Atlantic Ocean, has again claimed the top spot for the most unequal country in the world 2011. This is a large and sparsely populated country on Africa's south-west coast, which earned stability since gaining independence in 1990 after a long struggle against rule by South Africa.
