According to Russian news agencies, around 208 people were believed to have been aboard a double-decked river cruiser called the Bulgaria that capsized and sank in the middle of the Volga River in the Tatarstan region, some 450 miles east of Moscow on Sunday, July 10. The disaster caused the death of about 100 people.
