The 32-year-old Swiss player posted to his 1.1m followers about the happy news on Tuesday (December 24, 2013). “Mirka and I are very happy to share the news that Myla & Charlene will be big sisters in 2014! Happy Holiday,” Roger Federer tweeted to his fans. However, the tennis champion released no other details, including the baby’s gender and due date.
The new kid will be the third one of Roger Federer and his wife Mirka Federer, who is a tennis player, too. The 17-time Grand Slam champ met the female athlete in 2000 when they were competing for Switzerland in the Olympics. The couple tied the knot in 2009 in an understated ceremony in Basel and became parents to twin daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva in the same year.
