Dirt cheap airline Ryanair has recently released their annual Cabin Crew Charity Calendar which it hopes will raise up to 100,000€ for DebRA, a charity based in the United Kingdom, which will help people suffering from the skin condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB). Last year, Ryanair’s calendar focused on raising money for German homeless charity Tafeln, which provides food to children and teenagers who were suffering poverty and malnutrition in all over Germany.
The airline has been making calendars in order to raise money for many different charities for four years. And the recent 2012 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar is claimed to be the hottest one ever because it features 13 girls in swimwear and lingerie. Ryanair has sold its calendars on its own flights for 10 euros ($14). They have also sold it online and from DebRA's charity shops in Ireland and Spain.
This year’s calendar is made to raise money for Debra charity, which will provide 50 families from across Europe, each with children who suffer from EB a one-week vacation in Malaga, Spain. Ryanair's gorgeous cabin crew are said to be pleased to once again strip off for charity.
This is the first an airline has taken advantages of its flight attendants' good appearances to get ahead. However, many people said that the bikini images on the calendars are even more about publicity for the ultra-cheap airline, which is notorious for removing toilets on several flights so that they can make room bigger and can be used by more passengers.
Like previous years, this year's calendar of Ryanair seems to be attacked by people who believe it is demeaning to women
