Canadian country pop singer-songwriter Shania Twain, a five-time Grammy Award winner received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, the most populous city in California, United States on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in recognition of her star-studded career. The 2,442nd star has commemorated the fact that the “You’re Still The One” singer is the highest selling country music star of all time.
The 45-year-old Shania Twain was born with the name Eilleen Regina Edwards in a poor family and was adopted by her mother’s second husband. Twain began singing at bars when she was just eight years old, wrote songs at the age of ten and appeared on television when she was thirteen years old.
