The names of famous politicians like North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Thatcher, the late United Arab Emirates President Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyanor or Chinese President Hu Jintao may be common to everyone because they are the top leaders worldwide. However, oppose to their fame and success, their sons make them very angry and ashamed when causing notorious scandals.

Sheikh Issa bin Zayed Al Nayhan, a prominent real estate developer in the UAE, is the son of the late United Arab Emirates President Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His brothers are the present ruler of Abu Dhabi, the Emir Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In April 2009, he appeared in a 45-minute video tape to have been filmed taking part in a violent beating of Mohammed Shah Poor, a grain farmer from Afghanistan.

Sheikh Issa, however, was acquitted in a United Arab Emirates court. According to Reuters, the judge did not pass down his reasoning for the acquittal, but a lawyer for the sheik said that his client had been addicted as part of an extortion attempt.

Kim Jong-nam


Kim Jong-nam, the eldest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, has said he opposes a hereditary transfer of power to his youngest half-brother, Kim Jong-un. However, analysts said he spent so much time outside his native land that his opinion carried little weight. Unlike many of his countrymen, who lack the resources and connections to travel overseas, Kim Jong-nam travels freely in China or the country\'s special autonomous region of Macau.

Kim Jong-il is known to have three sons, one by his second wife and two by his third. He favors his youngest, who looks and is said to act like him, the leader\'s former sushi chef wrote in a in a 2003 memoir. Kim Jong-nam is widely believed to have fallen out of favour after embarrassing the government when caught trying to enter Japan on a fake passport, saying he wanted to visit Tokyo\'s Disneyland, in 2001.

Hu Haifeng


Hu Haifeng, the eldest son of Chinese President Hu Jintao, is to be questioned in connection with a multimillion-dollar corruption investigation in Namibia. Three people have been arrested in the African country on charges of fraud and bribery involving a government contract with state-owned Chinese company, Nuctech, a world leader in scanning technology.

Namibia and Nuctech has a £34 million contract to provide scanners for the country\'s ports and airports. The Namibian Government was to make an £8 million down-payment, with the balance coming from a loan from Beijing advanced on condition that it was spent with Chinese companies. However, according to Namibia\'s Anti-Corruption Commission, the company signed contracts for an identical sum with a Namibian consultancy called Teko Trading. The money was allegedly then disbursed to Teko\'s co-owners, Teckla Lameck and Kongo Mokaxwa, and Yang Fan, a Chinese national described in court as Nuctech\'s African representative. All three were in custody as the investigation continued. Officials at the company\'s offices in Hong Kong and Beijing refused to comment.

Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Nasir bin Abdulaziz al-Saud


Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Nasir bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, the Saudi prince, is facing a murder charge in the United Kingdom after his assistant was found murdered in his suites at the five-star Landmark Hotel at Marylebone in central London.

Al Saud is accused of killing Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz, 32-years-old. He is also charged with one count of cause grievances bodily harm. The body of Abdulaziz was found on the third floor of the hotel on Monday. An investigation revealed that he had suffered a head injury and had been strangled to death. Prince al Saud appeared at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday to answer the charges against him. The London Saudi Arabian embassy has declined to comment on the case.
