While everyone else was out shopping for the New Year, Jennifer Nettles, singer of the country duo Sugarland quietly held her wedding to entrepreneur Justin Miller. The former model Jennifer Nettles dated Justin Miller for over two years before saying “I do” in a small ceremony deep in the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee in front of their close family and friends, including Nettles' bandmate Kristian.
The 37-year-old bride was previously married to Todd Van Sickle from 1998 to 2007. Jennifer Nettles met her new husband Justin Miller several years ago as he appeared in the video “Want To” for the band’s 2006 single. The couple has been dating since 2009 and announced their wedding in November 2011. For her second wedding on Saturday, Jennifer Nettles wore Alexander McQueen gown at the ceremony
However, Jennifer Nettles and Justin Miller’ honeymoon may have to be delayed because Nettles will perform with Lady Gaga at the Grammy Nomination Concert Live on Wednesday. After that she will host the annual CMA Country Christmas Special, airing Thursday.
The wedding is no doubt to be one of the happiest moments in Nettles’s life. It represents the first good bit of news for Sugarland in awhile. The band are currently being taken to court due to a lawsuit that was filed by 44 survivors and the families of four of seven people killed during their performance at the Indiana State Fair in August. The lawsuit wrote the duo “failed or refused to cancel the Sugarland concert despite inclement weather”. Although the group responded with a benefit show and numerous apologies, that wasn’t enough.
