The Royal Couple: Kate Middleton and Prince William in Canada

On June 30, Britain's Royal Couple Kate Middleton and Prince William flied their first overseas tour to Canada from their marriage in April. The couple's schedule includes a range of events, a cooking workshop, a search, rescue demonstration, and a parade.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Ottawa, Canada on Thursday. This is the first overseas tour as a couple in April and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper thought that the tour was a testament to the close ties between Canada and the royal family. On 30 June, after leaving the airport with the warm welcome of Canada Government, the Royal immediately attended a wreath-laying ceremony at a war memorial. Their attendance caused screams of pleasure from the thousands of viewers. They later attended a welcoming ceremony at Rideau Hall, the official home of Governor General David Johnston, the representative of Britain's Queen Elizabeth in Canada. On July 1, Prince William and Kate Middleton took part in a citizenship ceremony at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Quebec.
