Nike ranks first in Forbes list of the most valuable sports brands. The Nike brand is worth $15 billion and has a 38% share of branded footwear industry. Following Nike is ESPN with $11,5 billion, Adidas with $5 billion, Sky Sports, and Gatorade.
1. Nike
Brand Value: $15 billion
Known as a major publicly traded sportswear and equipment supplier based in the United States, Nike is the world's leading supplier of athletic shoes, apparel and a major manufacturer of sports equipment. Beginning in 2012 Nike, which has an industry-leading 38% share of the branded footwear market is said to replace Reebok as the NFL's licensed-apparel maker in a five-year deal.

This Germany sports apparel manufacturer, Adidas equipped over 200 players and 12 teams in 2010 as the official sponsor of the Fifa World Cup in South Africa

Sky Sports is the dominant subscription television sports brand in the United Kingdom and Ireland
5. Gatorade
Brand Value: $2,5 billion

Best known as a brand of sports-themed food and beverage products, Gatorade's sports drink sales volumes were up 15% in 2010 thanks to new its G Series
6. Reebok
Brand Value: $1,5 billion

Reebok is a subsidiary of the German sportswear company Adidas since 2005. From 2010, Reebok's brand is down $500 million and the company now has only a 1.6% share of the $2.4 billion U.S. basketball sneaker market versus 93% for Nike
7. Under Armour
Brand Value: $1 billion

The fastest-growing brand, Under Armour is expected to post revenues in 2011 of $1.4 billion, more than 34% over the previous year
8. EA Sports
Brand Value: $625 million

EA Sports is famous worldwide for sports video games. In 2010, this sports brand had 27 games that sold over a million units and five titles that each sold more than four million copies
